2026 CIRI Art Contest

CIRI invites Shareholders and Descendants to submit original artwork for the 2026 CIRI Art Contest. The contest is open to CIRI Shareholders and confirmed Descendants ages kindergarten through adult (18+).
One submission per person.

THEME
“In Perspective”
Artwork may explore different viewpoints, experiences, or ways of seeing the world within our CIRI family—whether cultural, personal or community-based.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

• Entries must be original artwork (drawing, painting, printmaking, digital, etc.)
• Maximum size: 8.5” x 11”
• No photographs will be judged for this contest (digital artwork is allowed)
• High-resolution photographs of the artwork are required.
• Judging criteria includes:
  • Artistic quality
  • Originality
  • Interpretation of theme
  • Strength of expression

SUBMISSION DEADLINE DETAILS
Online submissions: Due by 11:59 PM AKDT, June 21, 2026

 

Entries should be original artwork—such as drawings, paintings, original prints, etc.—and measure no larger than 8.5” x11" (215.9 x 279.4 mm). Digital art is acceptable. Photography will not be accepted at this time; stay tuned for future opportunities for Shareholder and Descendant photographers. High-resolution photographs of the artwork are required.

By providing my name below:

1) I affirm that I am the parent or the court-appointed legal guardian for the minor entrant named on this form and have the legal authority to execute this acknowledgement and agreement on behalf of the entrant.

2) I authorize the artwork submitted with this entry form to be entered in the 2026 CIRI Art Contest and affirm that it is an original work of art, created by the entrant.

3) If the entrant is chosen as a winner, I authorize CIRI, at its discretion, to publish photographs of the entrant, his or her name, community, cultural affiliation and reproductions of the winning artwork in CIRI’s print and online materials, including the CIRI newsletter, and understand there will be no financial compensation of any type associated with any such use or publication.

4) I understand that there may be taxes due if a prize is received, and acknowledge that CIRI is not responsible for payment of any such taxes.

5) I affirm that I have read the guidelines and that the information provided on this entry form is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I understand that any misrepresentation or concealment of information will be grounds for rejection of the entry.

1) I authorize the artwork submitted with this entry form to be entered into the 2026 CIRI Art Contest and affirm that it is my original work.

2) If I am selected as a winner, I authorize CIRI, at its discretion, to publish photographs of me, my name, community affiliation, and reproductions of my winning artwork in CIRI’s print and online materials, including the CIRI newsletter. I understand that there will be no financial compensation for any use or publication.
